The garden club's purpose is to inform and educate members in regard to any and all area related to gardening."
In other words, if you love gardening, whether you're an experienced gardener or a novice who just want to lean more, this is a place to get together with other people who share your interest. The club has members who have been gardening for a long time and can answer your questions. And if you're a real pro, you'll love the activities and the chance to share your garden wisdom.
What do we do?
* We garden!
* We meet on the second Thursday of each month (except July and August). You are invited and encouraged to bring guests who share your love of gardening and may be interested in joining.
* We send out a newsletter once a month to members. The newsletter includes reports on outings, helpful gardening tips and other information.
* We have a calendar of events which may include:
- an annual plant sale
- hearing speakers on a variety of gardening topics
- viewing videos, films, slides or other media
- attending workships on gardening subects
- fun and interesting "field trips"
- parties and garden tours
How much does it cost to join?
The annual dues are just $15.00, payable in January each year. A portion of these dues also make you an official member of East Lake Washington District Garden Clubs (also known as ELWADI), Washington State Federation of Garden Clubs, Pacific Region of Garden Clubs and National Garden Clubs. By becoming a member of those organizations, you also get a large range of activities you're elibible to attend that will further enhance your gardening knowledge and widen your circle of gardening friends.
